Water Treatment Plants

Due to stringent regulations, water treatment plants require the best air handling units on the market. Air temperature and circulation are two of the most important factors for controlling bacteria growth. Bacteria and other pathogens tend to thrive in warm, moist environments. For these applications, powerful and effective HVAC systems can make the difference between contaminated and top-quality water. Good indoor air quality optimizes waste extraction and ensures workers are protected from unhealthy conditions.

Design Considerations

  • Water treatment plants (WTP) are known to be corrosive environments.  WTP units need to be designed using the right materials (SS, Aluminium, etc.) for the specific contaminants in the environment.
  • Corrosion resistance coatings are applied on key components that are not available in specific materials best suited for the environment.
  • High efficiency and special chemical filtration can be used to reduce the presence of contaminants or odors within the airstream.

Manufacturing Plants

Many manufacturing facilities operate 24/7 nowadays. To meet requirements for reliability and continuous operation of air handling units within this environment; Bousquet has perfected fan systems and advanced heat recovery technologies that provide continuous airflow, even in the event of a key component failure. Air handling unit breakdowns and downtime can be costly and even catastrophic for manufacturing plants, so Bousquet delivers performance and peace of mind.

Design Considerations

  • Modern manufacturing facilities demande more out of their HVAC as many facilities operate for extended hours and even on 24/7 schedule in some cases.
  • Plenum fan arrays with backdraft isolation dampers provide added peace of mind.  If one fan fails, it becomes isolated from the airflow as its backdraft damper closes and the remaining fans are ramped up to compensate for the loss of airflow.
  • Energy recovery systems are also available with built in redundancy for spaces where loss of heat recovery is unacceptable.
